Athénée de Luxembourg. A concept study for the country's historic lycée.
Luxembourg's historic lycée, reimagined.

The Athénée de Luxembourg is one of the country’s oldest and most storied lycées, an institution with real history and a real place in Luxembourg’s civic life. It is exactly the kind of legacy organisation whose reputation deserves a website with the same weight, and exactly the kind of subject worth studying to show what a modern relaunch could look like.
The premise
This is a self-initiated concept study, not a commissioned project. The school did not ask for it. It is a demonstration piece: a way to think seriously about how an institution with centuries behind it should present itself online, and to hold that thinking to the same standard as paid work rather than treating it as a throwaway mockup. The demo itself carries a clear “this is not the official site” notice, so the concept is never mistaken for the real thing.
The approach
The concept is built in French, the school’s own language, with the restraint an institution of this stature calls for: quiet typography, generous space, a clear structure a parent or student could navigate without effort. The tone is confident but never loud: history handled with dignity, not nostalgia. It is a study, but a finished one, treated as if the relationship were real: the point is to show, not tell, what SchartzForte would bring to a name like this.
